Dr. Genevier practiced as an ophthalmologist in France, Africa and Bahrein (where he was the reference ophthalmologist for the 5 th US Navy Fleet based in Bahrein).
He was a Project manager at the A.N.A.E.S in Paris (1 year) and at the World Bank (7 years), in particular in the sectors of public health, pharmaceuticals and telemedicine. In 2000, Dr. Genevier founded Privantis SA and launched the Privantis project development whose global objective was to provide health private practitioners with IT solutions for electronic medical record management and telemedicine services. 2000-11. Phase of partnership with Siemens (via SHS-France).
The partnership ended in May 2011 when SHS-France stopped its French operations and compensated Privantis for the consecutive losses. In 2012, Yves restarted the Privantis project with a new IT team (mainly based in Bangkok) and with the objective of developing its own cloud-based IT solutions. Currently, the Privantis IT platform supports a Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program in Caribbean islands and, in 2021, it will support an EHR and practice management software for ophthalmologists and optometrists in France.
